Motorcycles
In order to operate a motor vehicle in Oklahoma, riders must have an “M” endorsement on their Oklahoma license. To obtain an M endorsement, applicants must pass a written exam and a drive test, although the drive test can be waived if you have completed a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. After passing the written exam, applicants can opt to receive a motorcycle learner permit, which must be held for a minimum of 30 days before a drive test can be taken. Riders between the ages of 14 and 16 are required to take a basic riders course approved by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, hold a motorcycle learner permit for 30 days, and pass the basic law written exam in order to receive a motorcycle-only license.Resources for motorcyclists
